I haven't had a land line phone in years, and I have admittedly mixed feelings about this. Cellphones and computers have unquestionably spoiled me (manfriend + other side of the world = Skype!) But there is something about the old school system of wall phones in kitchens and answering machines with cassettes that still pulls me, something about the weight of an old headset in my hands that intrinsically adds importance to any conversation. Something that makes me really want one of these.
